What We Do

Social Enterprise Network is committed to the development of a strong, innovative, inclusive, well-connected and sustainable social enterprise sector in Greater Merseyside. Social Enterprise Network is working to strengthen the services on offer to the membership, alongside improving the information that we hold both about members and about the environment in which social enterprises are operating.

We are working closely with strategic bodies at a regional and sub-regional level to ensure that the strengths of the sector in Merseyside are recognised to enable the sector to thrive and grow.  We represent the sector at a number of boards and forums, including Change Up, the Development Trusts Association, Social Enterprise North West and lead the Merseyside strategy group for social enterprise.

We are developing relationships with procurement teams and commissioners in the public sector to increase the contracting opportunities that are available to social enterprises, and can help you to develop a consortium to allow you to access larger contracts.

We seek opportunities to improve our own resources, which in turn allows us to provide training and development opportunities for our members and to run discrete projects such as Impetus.

We can signpost you to the most relevant advice, tailored to specific business needs and the location of your business.

We run regular networking meetings at which you have the opportunity to meet colleagues in the sector and promote your own organisation.

A regular e-bulletin is sent out to all members. Any member can provide information for this bulletin to be circulated to the whole of the network. Relevant information including events, training opportunities, funding and tender alerts are included.
