Social Pioneer Summer Academy

Striding Out is giving 10 young people the opportunity to take part in a Summer Academy to help them develop their own social enterprise.

The Social Pioneer Summer Academy is for young people aged 18-25 who are resident in Liverpool, and have an idea for a social enterprise. A social enterprise is a business which operates for a social or environmental purpose and impact, and reinvest's its profit to further support its cause and mission.

The lucky participants will gain access to the following support to give themselves and their social enterprise the best chance of success:

  • Training workshops in business skills
  • A business coach for one to one support
  • Mentoring support from specialist experts
  • Marketing support to design a logo and launch the brand

The academy will help the participants to:

  • Develop and test their idea
  • Develop their business plan
  • Design and implement their marketing and sales strategy
  • Secure start up funding
  • Build a team of volunteers and employees
  • LAUNCH their social enterprise

To be eligible for the summer academy you will need to:

  • Provide evidence of residence in the City of Liverpool
  • Be aged 18-25
  • Have an idea for a social enterprise that you are committed to take forward
