Sense of Sound Summer Singing School

Have you always wanted to sing? If the answer is yes then Sense of Sound have some exciting news for you! They are going to be running a FREE Summer Singing School for young people later this month.

The summer school will take place at The Bluecoat arts centre in Liverpool city centre and will run from Monday 16th August until Friday 27th August 2010.

The Summer Singing School will be available to 3 different age groups:

• 8-11 year olds
• 12-15 year olds
• 16-19 year olds

You will get the chance to sing with lots of other people in a funky, fun environment. You'll learn new songs and also get the opportunity to perform for your friends and families. Through acappella and accompanied group singing, this exciting and challenging school will provide an exploration of musical styles from African to contemporary pop, soul and RnB. It will also provide an introduction to a variety of vocal techniques.

No previous experience is necessary but they do require commitment from those who attend as there will be performances throughout the 2 weeks.
