NEET Futures: A Wirral Success Story

Fast-growing Birkenhead-based training provider, NEET Futures, was founded only two years ago but has gained an enviable reputation for the quality of the educational courses which it provides to unemployed people in the Wirral area.

So much so that it has recently been awarded the prestigious ISO:9001 accreditation.

Mike Lloyd, senior tutor at the company, commented, '...this award reflects our objective of constantly seeking to improve our training methods and course offering- we are target led and results driven. Of the six hundred and eleven learners that we have provided training to over the last two years, some 25% have gained full-time employment, whilst 92% have gained a Level 2 qualification.'

NEET Futures is a 'community interest company' that uses its assets and profits for the benefit of the community in which it operates and does not pay huge dividends to owners or shareholders. This demonstrates the commitment of the company's management to the community it serves: no inflated salaries or bankers' bonuses here, but rather a steely determination to improve the quality of life of its learner clients- via the educational and training services which it provides.

The courses currently available are centred around qualifications that provide genuine job opportunities to learners such as: NVQs in Advice and Guidance, Leadership and Management, Licensed Retail and Security. Supporting qualifications such as First Aid and Health and Safety training are also now available too.

As a way of celebrating the award of the ISO:9001 accreditation, NEET Futures is holding a Presentation Day on Thursday 2nd September at its Training Centre in Hamilton Street, Birkenhead. The company has the largest privately-owned IT training suite on Merseyside and is keen to demonstrate the full range of services which it provides.

Representatives from National Awarding Bodies, existing clients, local charities and voluntary groups will all be attending.
