Join the Board of Social Enterprise Network
Social Enterprise Network will be holding elections for FOUR directors to join the Board of Social Enterprise Network at the 2010 AGM to be held at Blackburne House, Liverpool, L8 7PE on Wednesday 22nd September from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Elections to the Board of Social Enterprise Network will take place from 9.30am - 10.30am.
If you wish to apply to sit on the Board of Directors, you must:

Social Enterprise Network is holding its 2010 AGM at Blackburne House, Blackburne Place, Liverpool L8 7PE on Wednesday 22nd September 2010 from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
The event will also mark Social Enterprise Network's 10th Birthday and helping us to celebrate are a number of prestigious guests and speakers.
Liverpool Universities Social Entrepreneurship Competition
Do you have an idea for a new social venture? Want to win up to £5,000 and a tailored support package to help you explore the viability of turning your idea into a social enterprise?
Pacificstream in partnership with UnLtd and HEFCE are running a competition to search for tomorrows social entrepreneurs.
An introduction to multi-media for disabled people
Red Dot are staging two weeks or workshops at the Liverpool Centre for Arts Development (LCAD) based on Brownlow Hill in Liverpool city centre from 6th September to 16th September.
All workshops run from 10.30am to 1.30pm except on Wednesday 15th September.
For each workshop there will be a strict limit of ten participants. (Support workers will be very welcome to accompany their clients)
The building has full access for disabled people.
Social Enterprise North West Trade Fair 2010

Launch of the second wave of the National Survey of Charities and Social Enterprises
The second wave of the National Survey of Charities and Social Enterprises has been launched today (6/9/10), giving charities, social enterprises and voluntary and community groups in every local authority area an opportunity to have their voices heard.
Social enterprise and public service reform conference
This one-day conference looks at the opportunities and implications of the 'right to request' and the 'right to bid' and the different businesses and delivery models being adapted and implemented by local authorities and health service providers.
Providing key international insights the conference explores methods to ensure that operations are well-managed and scalable and how social enterprise models can and will benefit existing public services.
The Big Society Network
The Big Society Network is an organisation that exists to help people achieve change in their local area. It aims to benefit people who help community groups and social enterprises from existing and new legislation that supports The Big Society.
This meeting will provide the first opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas with the Big Society Network team. The event will be facilitated using open space technology which will enable all participants to shape the agenda.
School for Social Entrepreneurs set to expand
The School for Social Entrepreneurs is set to expand both nationally and internationally. The School which has 10 franchises across England and Wales, including one in Liverpool, based in Blackburne House, is seeking to develop following another busy year.

Social Pioneer Summer Academy
Striding Out is giving 10 young people the opportunity to take part in a Summer Academy to help them develop their own social enterprise.
The Social Pioneer Summer Academy is for young people aged 18-25 who are resident in Liverpool, and have an idea for a social enterprise. A social enterprise is a business which operates for a social or environmental purpose and impact, and reinvest's its profit to further support its cause and mission.
