The Women's Enterprise Hub is the only one of its kind in Liverpool and has been set up to service a growing need from female entrepreneurs, who have identified a need for business support and a stable base to grow their business from.
Liverpool Vision has generously offered to sponsor five women to become the first ever members of the hub, the membership is for six months and is worth £360 per entrepreneur.
The Women's Enterprise Hub offers many benefits to female entrepreneurs; the main elements of which is hot desking space, registered post box, and mailing list membership, discounted meeting rooms, discount in the Blackburne House cafe and car parking, all of which is offered on a flexible membership basis. With five different membership options, ranging from £15 to £200 per month, there is a package to suit the needs and aspirations of any female entrepreneur.
Members of the Women's Enterprise Hub are further supported by being able to access the knowledge, networks and of course the experience of the management team that exist on site at Blackburne House. This team links local enterprise, business support and enterprise agencies. Having a business address in an established sought after location and opportunities for networking and business to business collaboration provides the perfect foundation to support and nurture the latest generation of women entrepreneurs.
The package also includes front of house/reception and administrative support. The centre is open to female entrepreneurs from all industries but with a strong emphasis on supporting Social Entrepreneurs.
Jo McGrath, Enterprise Director at Blackburne House said: 'The women's enterprise hub is great for female entrepreneurs who have no permanent office space, have very little time, or too many interruptions in their home life to dedicate to their business and may feel isolated working at home. The hub brings a sense of community and professionalism for women, just simply having somewhere to go and focus on their business can often make the difference between success and failure for some entrepreneurs.'
Jo added: 'The support from Liverpool Vision will make a big difference to the Women's Enterprise Hub; we are thrilled to have them on board and hope to thrive as a centre.'
Mike Taylor, Investment Director at Liverpool Vision said: 'Liverpool Vision invests strongly in the support of entrepreneurs within the city. Blackburne House have seen a clear need for an innovative service to women entrepreneurs and we are delighted to be sponsoring the first five members of the Women's Enterprise Hub. Supporting and nurturing female entrepreneurs will help create dynamic, sustainable businesses that will go on to prosper in the city.'
